Producer / Production Manager
The Producer oversees accurate and estimating, planning, and anticipates all aspects of the production. Meeting the photographer's needs, getting the right people and talent, the ideal location, client negotiation, identifying expectations, estimates, permits, paperwork, catering, final budgets, and more.
Casting Directors organize and facilitate the casting of actors for all the roles in the production. This involves working closely with the Creative Director and Producer to understand their requirements, and suggesting ideal artists for each role, as well as arranging and conducting interviews and auditions.
Once the parts are cast, the Casting Director negotiates fees and contracts for the actors, and acts as a liaison between the Director, the actors and their agents.
The Location Managers' primary role is to identify and find ideal locations for a shoot, reporting to the Producer, Director and Production Designer.
The role also involves negotiating with each location's owners about a number of issues, such as the cost and terms of the hire, crew and vehicle access, parking, noise reduction, and what official permissions may be required. Once the production has begun, Location Managers are in charge of managing all aspects of shooting in each location, and also ensuring that every location is handed back to its owners in a satisfactory condition after the shoot.
